Harvest House Publishers gave me the green light to officially let the cat out of the bag.
I have not one, but two new Amish books set in Lancaster County coming out! The first for Harvest House will release the fall of 2017 and the second in the winter of 2018.
Whoo-hoo! Time to sign my two-book contract with Harvest House!
As release dates creep closer, I’ll provide more detail. No official titles or covers to share yet. I can’t wait to introduce you to my new characters and their stories!
Why will it take so long? Harvest House has a full calendar and schedule of books already slated by some of your favorite authors. My first book’s manuscript is complete, until the publishing house editor combs through chapter by chapter. In response to their comments, I must go back and rework … an arduous but fun task.

I am very happy to here there will be two new books release in the next two years. The Amish stories that i have read in the past ware so good that i could not put them down. This is coming form some one that did not like to read i hated to read because i have a hard time do so. But finding books that i like has made that i am doing better with my reading and i find my self reading more and more it has even taken over my crafting time so i find my self getting books on CD so i can enjoy the stores well i craft. I work on my quilt well i listen to the stories. I like the stories about the Amish so much that i would like it very much to own a set of there faceless dolls. I have even try to find a pattern of them so i could make my self a set and my girls and my best friend a set of them.
I’m imagining you quilting while listening to a CD, Jenny! What a delightful scene. I wish I could share a pattern for the dolls with you, but the woman who makes them depends on her sewing for her livelihood, so I won’t even ask. Thanks so much for your letter and for entering the giveaway!

Wowie! What an accomplishment for you. I lived in Carlisle and in Mt. Holly Springs, Pa. Just about when I was 11 and 12. Now I’m almost 76. Dad was in Army at Carlisle Barracks and we lived off post (can’t remember name) right next to fairgrounds and HORSES that I loved and visited every day that I could. Good, fun memories!

I love your books. So excited for you. I mentioned a while back that my husband and I will be coming to Lancaster in August for our 25th anniversary. We have an upstairs apartment rented out. I can hardly wait. I can’t wait to see the surroundings I’ve read about in all the Amish books. I love the faceless dolls. They would be great to have as memories of our trip.
