A Lancaster Family Christmas

What starts as a getaway to Amish Country could turn into the Christmas that changes Diana’s life forever, if only she opens her heart.

Diana can’t face another lonely Christmas in her Manhattan apartment. When a coworker invites her on a last-minute trip to visit her Mennonite family in Lancaster County, Diana jumps at the chance.

Arriving in Amish Country in the middle of a snowstorm, Diana discovers a world that couldn’t be more different from her life on the Upper East Side. She is fascinated by the sprawling farms and buggies on the roads, but what she really notices are the welcoming families, cozy kitchens filled with home-cooked meals…and the two handsome men who may or may not be vying for her attention.

But every community has its secrets. Jesse, the rakish young Amish farmer, is hiding more than just a forbidden cell phone. And then there’s handsome Brett, the guarded Mennonite craftsman who harbors a dark secret of his own.

Enjoyable Amish/Mennonite Christmas
City girl meets Amish country for Christmas! This was a really sweet contemporary Amish Christmas fiction, Diana and Betsy go to Amish/Mennonite country for a Christmas with Betsy’s family. The story is honest and open. No families are perfect, not even the Amish. Diana also has past family issues that need to be dealt with. This is a sweet story of overcoming trials, forgiveness and of course, love. If you want a good Amish Christmas book, you will love this one. — Sunnie Reviews, 5-star review

A Community Uniting at Christmas
I loved that it wasn’t a typical Christmas book and that it taught us about the spirit of holiday being not only about the birth of Jesus, giving and receiving of gifts but in this book it was all about coming together as one community to help.

Thank you Kate for such an enchanting story. I do hope that this isn’t the last we will hear of the characters in this book. I should love to see how they all get along.

What Readers Are Saying About A Lancaster Family Christmas

An enjoyable Christmas read
Author Kate Lloyd does not disappoint with her new book. We are quickly pulled into the life of Diana, a young, only child with distant, self absorbed parents. Her co worker offers her an opportunity to see a family life she has never experienced in a community completely foreign to hers. It is a warm and touching story that was hard to put down. — Margaret D., 5-star review

A light-hearted and uplifting Christmas book
Family can mean many different things to different people. Although it seems like Amish life should be simple, it appears anything but. There are love triangles, a case of arson, and an ex showing up at just the wrong time.

I found the book to be relaxing and quick to read. I will look forward to reading more of Kate Lloyd’s books. — Audrey Oaks, 5-star review

A most enjoyable read
I cannot think of a time when I have enjoyed a book more than reading Kate Lloyd’s A Lancaster Family Christmas. From cover to cover this book kept me coming back for more. I literally couldn’t put it down.

Kate Lloyd has written a story so authentic the reader will feel as if they have walked into the pages and became a bystander in this book about forgiveness, dealing with situations that have caused great duress for those holding onto them, and love-the kind of love that everyone would like to have.

I highly recommend this book. Its a must read for the Christmas season and one I will read over and over again. This is a five star rating from this extremely pleased reader.— Janet, 5-star review
