I seldom get stressed-out. So, why did I awake with a start after a dream about meeting someone for lunch and not being able to locate the restaurant? Was my sleepy-time foray merely a worrisome dream or a nightmare?
Should I take this recent Can’t-find-the-restaurant dream as an indication that I’m actually under pressure I don’t address during the day? When awake, I focus on good things: our younger son is home for a week-long visit and I even found my iPad after two weeks during an AHA! a moment in the middle of the night. Thankfully, my brain was searching while my body rested.
In the past, I’ve experienced obnoxious dreams, such as finding myself in the high school cafeteria because I never really graduated from high school after all, let alone college. Or I arrived at class unprepared for a test. Those dreams seemed to have dissipated. To my knowledge, I’ve never dreamed I drove to the mall in my nightgown or experienced hairy-scary nightmares such as plunging over Niagara Falls in a canoe. Or, possibly I’ve forgotten them.
Do you think nightmares are caused by unresolved stress?
I try my best to avoid nerve-racking situations, such as driving on the freeway during rush-hour or filling my calendar too tightly. But sometimes it’s not possible to escape. When our loved ones grow ill, and the world seems to revolve faster than it used to, finding ways to manage stress becomes essential. A helpful site like https://indacloud.co/ offers products that some find useful for relaxation. If you’re looking for a great way to relax after a tiring day, then you might want to consider trying some cbd products from this vape store. Shop wide selection of brands from Geek Bar to Vaper Gate today. Need quality cbd products? Check out flyhighseeds for a wide selection of cannabis products. Science has proven anxiety and stress are bad for health. You may consider playing betflix casino games during your free time to relieve your stress.
So when there are stories about people trying alternative products (cannabis-related) like ones found on sites like www.canadacannabisdispensary.ca, in the hopes of managing stress better than before, it isn’t surprising. No one wants to be stressed, and if there are ways to relieve this, then why not at least try it out? For those in the area, twd cannabis delivery in etobicoke offers a convenient way to access high-quality products without the hassle. You may also micro dose mushrooms canada to help relieve your stress and improve your mood. Make sure to consult first a Holistic Medicine Practitioner before trying out these products.
To avoid ill health, stay positive mentally and promote relaxation. Moreover, herbal and natural remedies might be worth considering and even trying out for yourself. For example, products from a cbd terpenes manufacturer may be able to assist with this as well as bring other possible health benefits. If you need to buy nitrous oxide tanks, visit this website at d8superstore.com to place your order right away.
I actually know quite a few people that use cannabis-infused products to help them deal with the stresses of everyday life. Additionally, it is no secret that marijuana-based products have come a long way in recent years. For instance, one of my best friends likes to use cannabis concentrates as part of her mental health toolkit.
In case you were not already aware cannabis concentrates are extracts that are made by using chemicals or solvents to separate the cannabinoids and terpenes from the original cannabis plant. The result is a concentrated mixture almost purely comprised of psychoactive cannabinoids and terpenes. If you would like to learn more about the potential health-boosting properties of cannabis extracts, you can find wax for sale by browsing most online dispensaries.
Just remember that if you are going to be using any natural products, then it is strongly recommended that you speak to a doctor first as not everything is suitable for everyone.
Would you find comfort living at a slower pace like the Amish? Hold on, not even the Amish live without stress. They must deal with family members, obey church leaders and regulations called the Ordnung, inclement weather that affects crops and their ability to move about, for the most part in a horse-drawn buggy. Plus, choosing the right mate and deciding whether or not to join the Amish church, a lifetime commitment for both membership and marriage. How do you think they manage?
As an author, I observe the body language people use when stressed. Can you tell when your spouse, family member, or a friend is anxious? How about your pet? Is your first reaction to comfort them or steer clear?
Do you have a personal de-stressor when you feel tension over-taking you? What helps to lesson your anxiety and fills you with tranquility?

I am very interested in your comments about dreams and stress. I have had horrible and stressful dreams all my life. I cannot remember ever having a pleasant dream or dreamless night. Sometimes things that I see or hear are incorporated into a nightmare. Yes, I feel stressed nearly all the time but I am also generally happy and upbeat. I love life and have many blessings. I also like most all people.
I wish I knew of something to relieve the stress. I can take any situation and make it stressful!
Linda, I don’t know how I missed your comment on my blog until now! Sorry for the delay in replying. One night years ago, I saw a plane crash on TV news and sure enough that night I had a vivid dream of a plane crashing into a nearby bridge. That’s when I gave up watching the evening news. Nothing scary after dinner and no scary books. No scary movies or trailers. I know I’ll take them to bed with me. I’ve asked my husband not to discuss anything of importance (unless absolutely necessary) after 8 PM & he’s cool with it. How do I keep up on the news? In the AM or local 4:00 afternoon news which is child-friendly. I feel so sorry for children who watch adult-type news while their parents have TV on! Reading and praying are my best friends at night. Thanks for entering the giveaway!
I’m glad you like the colors, Angela! Good luck in the giveaway!
Kate
I after taking lots of deep breaths find a quiet corner of the house and talk to Jehovah about the problem and then sit and read the Bible for awhile, then meditate on what I read and thank Jehovah in prayer again for helping me cope by throwing my anxieties on him as the scriptures tell me to do.
Excellent, Alberta! I should follow your lead. Thanks for sharing your words of wisdom. Good luck in the giveaway!

I have three things I do to reduce stress. I end every day by reading . It relaxes my mind and my body. I love to sew baby items and it relieves stress because I just get caught up in the creativity. My final way to reduce stress is to go fishing. My husband and I fish at least fifty times a year, most often in spring and summer. There is something so tranquil and peaceful being on the water that you can’t help becoming less stressful!
How wonderful, Donna! Three stress relieving activities that sound fun. When I was young, I used to fly-fish on a river often with my father, but never 50 times a year. Wow! Your husband is fortunate he married a woman who likes to fish, and vice versa. Thanks for your delightful comment and for entering the giveaway!

O I love this!! I think stress has a lot of play in our dreams, When our mind isn’t at piece I believe it picks up different things maybe on our mind and throws them together in a dream and then I have my nightmares. I have to many. I like getting a cup of tea and read, but my best thing I like to do is go out for a walk before bed. I put the fresh air in my lungs and talk with God along the way seems to bring me peace. I love the Quillow! Gonna pray I win!!
Blessings

I’d enjoy having the Legacy of Lancaster trilogy books also! To relieve stress, I sing. I sing when I cook or sit on my deck in the glider or just cleaning house. Of course I love to sing the old hymns that have so much meaning to my heart & bring God so close to me.
I’m glad you like the Quillow as much as I do, Janet! I hope you get a chance to read my books soon, even if you don’t win this contest. You just struck a chord with me: I’d promised myself I would sing every day, but I forget. Thanks for reminding me and thank you for entering the giveaway!

I am learning to take my stress to the Lord. Most of the time I don’t feel stressed but I know I am because I have the physical effects of stress. So I have to stop and really pray that God will give me His peace about all things in every way. (Ii Thessalonians 3:16)
Sounds as though you have great intuition and a wonderful plan, Glenda! Many people ignore the physical effects of stress, which can be detrimental to your health and mind. Praying is like asking our perfect father for comfort and peace in every way. He is listening. Thanks for entering the giveaway!
Kate

I find I have a lot less stress since my husband and I retired, but yet in our world today, stressful situations are all around us. As others have said, when I do get stressed, prayer and God’s word is the first place I go. I like to find a quiet place, or read, or get together with friends or family. The Word tells us to be content in all situations and to keep our minds set on what is good. Cuddling up with a book and that quillow would be relaxing. 🙂
I’m glad to hear you have less stress since both you and your husband retired, Pat! You’re right when you say stressful situations lurk everywhere. An excellent reason to turn to God’s Word and set our minds upon what is good. Thank you for your comment and for entering the giveaway!

I remove myself from the stressful situation if I can and I go for a walk or get a Amish book to read in my bedroom and I also try to breath and relax with essentials oils in my diffuser.
All good ideas, Kristina! A great way to avoid a stressful situation is to go for a walk to gain space, if possible. Plus, I love to walk. Reading in your bedroom sounds soothing. I’m intrigued by the essential oils in your diffuser. I’ve never tried them other than peppermint for my sinus problem (Sinus problem now gone) but have heard good reports. Not sure what a diffuser is. Thanks for writing in entering the giveaway!

I struggle with stress and anxiety! There are days that are harder than others, but I am trying to work at relieving my stress and anxiety! Love the pillow/quilt! Gorgeous!
You are not alone with your struggle, Amanda! I’ll bet many more people struggle with stress and anxiety then let on. One help for me was to stop getting a newspaper and watching less TV news. Just enough to keep me informed, but not overwhelmed by what I have no control over. And never right before bedtime unless I give myself at least an hour to read and decompress. Thank you for your comment and for entering the giveaway !
Kate
And to keep stress out of my life, I love to sit and watch the birds and butterflies dancing around my potted plants over flowing with beautiful flowers while thinking of all the wonderful things I have been blessed with in my life.

I sing hymns when I notice I am stressed. I can’t sing and be stressed out at the same time. Thank you for this contest and such good prizes! I didn’t know the pillow/quilt was called a Quillow. Beautiful!
A friend suggested I play hymns in my car and I love to sing along, Phyllis! Don’t know all the words, but that’s okay because you’re right when you said it’s hard to be stressed while singing. Well, maybe not in front of an audience, which I’ve done many times and enjoyed. Thank you for your terrific comment and good luck in the giveaway!
Kate

Hi Katie! I’m under a ton of stress right now since I am relocating to Texas to be with my fiancé and am leaving my favorite job to do so! 🙁 The main thing helping me stay calm is frequently praying that all will work out, and knitting. Really hope I can win, as it really would help me feel better! Thanks & God bless!
You’re relocating, Mallory? Wow, a ton of stress, especially after finding your great job. But your Texas fiancé sounds better. God bless you in your transition. Thanks for leaving your comment and entering the giveaway!

I eat chocolate!! Reading can help de-stress and just not getting out of bed!!
Maybe my love of dark chocolate keeps me from getting stressed, Anne? Hadn’t thought of that possibility. (I don’t eat in large quantities.) Reading also helps unscramble my brain at night. Sometimes I try to sleep in, but it never works. I’d rather use the time to write. Thanks for leaving a comment and entering the giveaway!
Kate
Thanks for the opportunity to win! What usually helps me to de-stress is reading, listening to music, or dancing.
I was just thinking the other day that I don’t dance anymore, Les! Thanks for reminding me. I do listen to music; it helps de-stress maddening driving conditions and uplifts my mood. And of course writing and reading go hand in hand. Good luck in the giveaway!
Kate
I have gotten to the point tat I pray when I first start depressingly. I also drink iced tea and read or play with my dogs.

Love the atmosphere and community of the Amish in PA and OH. Living in Pittsburgh…I am so tired of the hurried stressful living. Looking towards Holmes CO OHIO to move in future. Read many Amish books and admire the lifestyle. Reading and crafting enable me to escape stress.
Paula, I can remember years ago while driving to work through traffic, thinking: Is this all there is to life? Of course, we can take our stress with us wherever we go, but I do love the peacefulness of farmland too and the Amish. Glad to hear you read many Amish books and enjoy crafting, two excellent de-stressors. Thanks for visiting my blog and entering the giveaway!
Kate
When I need to de-stress I get a large glass of ice tea with a slice of lime, grab my spinning wheel and spin, spin, spin.

I call my best friend in Tenn. I live in NH so I can’t just drop over to visit. If she is not home, I pick up a book and read. Today was stressful, as our water heater bit the dust. Had to go get a new one. Luckily, my husband can install it. When you are retired it is very stressful when things break. Thanks for the chance to win. I love the color of the quillow and just love your books. Have a blessed day.
It’s always stressful when you’re hot water tank gives up the ghost, Deborah! We had a major flood last time; it’s amazing how far that water can travel, even up the basement walls. (plaster) How wonderful to have a husband who can install it! I also have a girlfriend who lives on the other side of the country whom I call … An expensive call, but I pretend I’m out to lunch with her. I figure I’d spend that much buying her lunch. Glad you like the quillow and thank you for your compliment on my books! May you enjoy a blessed day
